888 Poker is currently down once again, it appears that play on all servers for cash and tournaments is suspended and has been so for the last hour and counting.

Many were affected by an 888 Poker server crash as they were disconnected at the time of the crash and were unable to login thereafter.

When trying to login users were welcomed with a pop-up message stating: Unable to Connect, Please try again or contact member support.

We successfully logged in via the no download aka flash version of their software which seems to still be up and running but network traffic is down as play is suspended.

No information about the crash is available yet and players have been reporting the issue on the 888poker forum.

The Tournaments show: “The Tournament has been paused due to network issues. Play will be resumed as soon as possible.”

We recently posted about 888 Poker down a couple months ago and here. Post traffic on those pages surges when 888 goes down, so my guess is that 888Poker servers have crashed fairly often lately, possibly as a result of higher than expected traffic from freerolls and promotions.

Boycott PokerStars is still currently underway on Day 2 of the protest, 888 Poker have reduced rake and increased the guaranteed prize pools to attract the protesting players.

PokerStars traffic has drop significantly with over 2,000 high stakes pros protesting the site for it’s changes to the reward system for 2016.

Daniel Negreanu was interviewed on the Joe Ingram podcast and was joined by Dani Stern to discuss Boycott PokerStars and the VIP changes. Daniel agrees that the changes need to be implemented but is not happy with the way PokerStars have communicated with it’s players.

The 888 Poker Official Site is in the process of being redesigned for the first time in many years and should launch officially just in time for the holiday season.

This is the first major website update since Pacific Poker re-branded to 888poker in 2009, the new site is fully responsive and caters for all platforms including mobile devices.

The dark theme will no longer be the look for 888poker as it has been replaced with a generic white in the content areas making the text more readable. There have been no changes to the infamous logo just to the website layout and responsive design.

The 2nd largest online poker site has just got better and the 888 Poker official site is now up to date with current website technology.
