war on online pokerThe War on Online Poker has been dramatically increasing in 2014 with the villain Sheldon Adelson ready to spend whatever it takes to get a federal ban to Stop Internet Gambling.

The billionaire Las Vegas Sands CEO, Adelson has unfounded claims against gambling online including: targets the vulnerable, threatens public interest, promotes underage gambling, funds criminal enterprises and international terrorism.

A new organization, The Coalition for Consumer and Online Protection, has recently launched a campaign to counteract Adelson efforts to discredit online gambling in the USA.

The C4COP embraces regulation as it will protect minors, prevent money launderers and end the black market as it is currently doing.

The problem may be related to issues with localized servers in certain countries as some players are having no problems playing on 888poker.

PokerScout.com traffic stats also reflect that there have been no traffic data being recorded for more than 3 hours.

Players from Canada, Australia, Estonia, Ukraine, Germany and Ireland having been reporting the problem for the last 17 hours.

Anyone who was affected by disconnections during the downtime should contact 888 Poker Support to lodge their complaints.

full tilt poker claimsFull Tilt Poker funds will soon be returned to their rightful owners after almost three years since Black Friday.

More than 30,000 USA players are expected to have their funds returned according to a tweet by John Pappas of the Poker Players Alliance.

All players with undisputed claims amounting to over $82 million will be reimbursed over the next few weeks.

The Department of Justice have approved the Garden City Group audit of players funds, however some players may need to resubmit their claims with the correct details as some claims were not correct or not completed.

All players will be contacted shortly by the GCG with the status of their payout and how to get their Full Tilt Poker funds returned.

wsop 2014The 45th annual WSOP 2014 dates have been announced and is scheduled to run from 27 May until 14 July, 2014.

The World Series of Poker will return to the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino with more than 60 WSOP bracelet events in the series.

Dates for the 2014 WSOP Main Event have been set from 5-14 July, and will take a break when the final 9 players remain.

With the recent developments in the regulation of online poker in Nevada & New Jersey, players will now be legally able to qualify for their seats to WSOP events in 2014.

The official WSOP online poker software will offer WSOP satellites to players who reside in these American states.
