The 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event Day 2 a/b/c have been completed with the surviving 1,864 players going through to Day 3.

The current chipleader is none other than the legendary Phil Ivey who has been dominating since 2014 WSOP Main Event Day 1 c where he finished the day in 2nd place.

Players from Day 2 a/b will be combined with the remaining players Day 2c for more action on Day 3 of the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Some big names have already been eliminated at this stage and have lost the opportunity to win the dream prize of $10 million guaranteed for first place prize.

The 2014 WSOP Main Event Day 1 a/b/c have been completed giving us a final amount of 6,683 registered players and total prize pool of $62,820,200.

Some records were broken for attendance with Day 1c being the largest starting field in history of the WSOP Main Event with 3,768 players registering on the last day.

More than half of the playing field has been eliminated at this point with about 3,300 players going through to Day 2.

PokerStars Bertrand Grospellier ElkY has won his first WSOP bracelet in event #21 Seven-Card Stud World Championship, this was the first time Elky had ever played in a 7 Card Stud tournament. The PokerStars French Pro has already won an EPT and WPT title and more than $7 million in tournament earnings in his career but the WSOP bracelet is one of the biggest accomplishments in poker.
