Amaya Gaming have agreed to purchase Rational Group which includes Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars for $4.9 billion.

This would mean the company would no longer have any ties with Isai Scheinberg. Scheinberg was the stumbling block that has been preventing PokerStars from entering the US regulated poker market.

Amaya Gaming have already been approved for a license to offer legal online poker in New Jersey, the company currently supplies gambling machines and accessories in Canada.

Amaya Gaming buying PokerStars will be the largest deal in the history of online gambling and offers positive outlook for the future of online poker worldwide. US poker players will no doubt rejoice at the news of PokerStars returning to the USA with new owners and a clean slate.

Amaya Network have responded to the recent 30% increase of trading shares and potential merger with PokerStars.

The merger would see PokerStars entering the regulated US market under a new name or company as a loophole around the bad actor clause. PokerStars have failed to receive approval to operate in New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware and California.

The largest online poker site was suspended for up to 2 years for operating after the 2006 UIGEA came into law, preventing PokerStars from getting any US poker player action since Black Friday.

pokerstars nj suspendedPokerStars NJ license application has been suspended by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement and will not be reconsidered unless drastic changes take place.

The major concern is Isai Scheinberg, the founder of PokerStars still having a federal indictment against him for violating the UIGEA of 2006.

PokerStars, the largest online poker site will be suspended for at least two years while the accused executives are still affiliated with the company.

New Jersey has received the most traffic out of the three regulated American states: Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware.

PokerStars buys Full Tilt Poker Announcement end of May 2012The latest Full Tilt Poker news update regarding PokerStars buying FullTilt is IGaming post recently reported that following a US court hearing between Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and the DOJ.

The parties involved are set to make an announcement some time during the last week of May 2012, which should contain a schedule for repayment of all Fulltilt Poker USA players and those from the rest of the world.

Both Isai Scheinberg the owner of PokerStars and Paul Tate Director of Payments may be expected to vacate their positions at PokerStars as part of the deal.

The deal reached by PokerStars buying FullTilt Poker will be fully approved by the USA DOJ who are then expected to announce that both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker will be allowed to apply for licenses in the USA once poker is legal in America.

There are also rumors circulating that Wynn may have a part to play in the Full Tilt Poker deal.

PokerStars must be pleased with the outcome of their dealings with the DOJ and even more so that no prejudice will be held against them when applying for a license in the USA sometime in the future.
