There have been some changes to the Poker All Time Money List in 2014, some poker pros have had a successful start to the year cashing at the 2014 Aussie Millions.

Phil Ivey has moved up from 6th place to 2nd place after his biggest tournament win in the 2014 Aussie Millions $250,000 Challenge.

Still topping the Poker All Time Money List is Antonio Esfandiari who’s biggest win was the million dollar buy-in 2012 WSOP The Big One for One Drop.

Daniel Negreanu is also hot on the heels of Phil Ivey with only a few dollars behind in tournament earnings in 2014, both players having success at this years Aussie Millions.

The WSOP 2010 Main Event is officially the 2nd biggest live poker tournament of all time beating last years attendance of 6,494 players registered. The final figures have not yet been calculated but so far there have been more players registered than last years event, the worldwide rescission seems to have not affected the main event registration.

The biggest attendance was recorded at the 2006 WSOP which had 8,773 players entering the main event, the biggest live poker event in the world. That year the prize pool was a staggering $82,512,162 and the event was won by Jamie Gold who won more than $12 million for his first place finish.

Update – 7,319 players registered for this years main event making the total prize pool $68,798,600

Phil Ivey has reached the top spot in the poker all-time money list, with more than $12.8 million in career earnings from tournament cashes, Phil Ivey recently over took Daniel Negreanu who was current leader. Despite high viewer ratings from all the previous episodes of the Game Show Network’s popular televised High Stakes Poker show, the continued production of session five in the series of the popular Poker TV show was nearly halted. Great news though for poker fans is that “High-Stakes Poker” among the best poker shows on television will make a comeback with recording of the new series at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas beginning on 19th December running through until 21 December 2008.
