The 40th Annual World Series of Poker 2009 takes place between 27th May till 15th July with the remaining top 9 players going through to the Main Event which is set for 7th – 10th November 2009. The overall cost of entering each event is $295,500. All 57 event winners will be awarded with a WSOP gold bracelet which is the highest achievement of any poker player career. Despite high viewer ratings from all the previous episodes of the Game Show Network’s popular televised High Stakes Poker show, the continued production of session five in the series of the popular Poker TV show was nearly halted. Great news though for poker fans is that “High-Stakes Poker” among the best poker shows on television will make a comeback with recording of the new series at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas beginning on 19th December running through until 21 December 2008.
