In the first few days of 2015 Shane Warne and Padraig Parkinson leave Team 888 Poker, Warne has represented the brand as the team captain for over 7 years.

The news was released in a short message on the official Shane Warne twitter account stating that he hasn’t given up on poker but the partnership with 888poker has ended. Warne is still excited to be participating in the 2015 Aussie Millions which takes place at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia.

Padraig Parkinson 888 poker partnership has also ended, Parkinson had been an ambassador of the brand since the beginning when it was known as Pacific Poker.

JC Tran announced via twitter that he is no longer a member of Team 888 Poker, his 12 month contract with 888poker has come to an end.

888poker signed JC Tran shortly after making the final table of the 2013 WSOP Main Event as the November Nine Chipleader.

The decision was probably mutual beneficial as J.C. Tran is not able to represent 888poker online as poker pro with online poker not legally available in Sacramento, California.

This year 888poker have sponsored Bruno Foster as their November Nine representative at the 2014 WSOP Main Event Final Table. If Foster wins the Main Event it will be the first time a Brazilian player has captured the title.

Two new 888Poker Ambassadors have been added to Team 888 Poker, Xuan Liu and Sofia Lövgren. The two female poker pros combined have more than $1.5 million in live tournament earnings in their careers.

Team 888poker consists of poker pros and former sports stars with Shane Warne as the captain of the team which now includes: JC Tran, Jesse Sylvia, Jake Balsiger, Russell Thomas, Georges St-Pierre, Jackie Glazier and Jessica Dawley.

Sam Holden has just left the team and announced his semi-retirement from poker and is taking time out to get a degree in philosophy.
