The Main Event of the 2013 World Series of Poker is currently on a break until the final table returns on the 4-5 November to determine the next WSOP Champion.
The November Nine 2013 consists of the following players: JC Tran, Amir Lehavot, Marc McLaughlin, Jay Farber, Ryan Riess, Sylvain Loosli, Michiel Brummelhuis, Mark Newhouse and David Benefield.

The 2013 WSOP One Drop tournament is a new high roller event with more than $17 million dollar prize pool generated by the 166 registered WSOP one drop players.
The High Roller tournament replaces last years WSOP Big One for One Drop, where Antonio Esfandiari won more than $18 million.
The buy-in for the high roller event has been reduced to $111,111 instead of a million, the 2013 High Roller event raised more than half a million for One Drop.

Another new charity poker tournament is the Little One for One Drop which will feature a low buy-in to attract a large playing field.

Phil Ivey denied 9th WSOP Bracelet in the 2012 WSOP Event 24 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better at the 43rd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Final Table players included some of top players in the game: Mike Matusow, Scotty Nguyen, Joe Cassidy and Bart Hanson.
Phil Ivey was eliminated in 3rd place leaving Joe Cassidy vs Scotty Nguyen heads-up at the end of Day 3.
Ivey missed his 9th bracelet again after being denied victory earlier this week when he was heads-up with Andy Frankenberger in Event 17: Pot-Limit Hold’em. Phil Ivey is on fire at the 2012 World Series of Poker after boycotting the series in 2011 after Black Friday/Full Tilt Poker where players funds were seized.
The Tiger Woods of Poker misses another opportunity to add a non-holdem bracelet to his collection, but he currently leads the 2012 WSOP player of the year leaderboard in points.
Phil Ivey would have increased his WSOP bracelet earnings lead to 4th place sharing the position with Johnny Moss.
The 2012 World Series of Poker final tables will all be streamed live on the Internet, with a five minute delay. This is great for poker, because all 60 WSOP bracelet events, final table players and bracelet winners will get the exposure they deserve.

Other changes to the 2012 WSOP include a more relaxed rule on table chatter and player celebration. Players are now allowed to speak freely or celebrate when winning a hand, within reason, as long as it doesn’t disrupt the tournament or reveal important information to players still involved in a hand.
