Phil Hellmuth wins 2012 WSOPE Main Event a Million Euros and WSOP bracelet number 13, this is Hellmuth’s second bracelet for 2012. Hellmuth stated: “This is one of the most prestigious titles in poker and to get this one, it’s right up there with the world championship.” referring to his 1989 WSOP Main Event victory.

The 2012 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event had a field of 420 players which included: Jason Mercier, Scott Seiver, David Benyamine, Bertrand Grospellier, Eugene Katchalov, Daniel Negreanu, and Justin Bonomo.

Hellmuth also secured his lead on Antonio Esfandiari for 2012 WSOP Player of the Year and will maintain his first place position unless October Nine player Greg Merson wins the 2012 WSOP Main Event.

The new Full Tilt Poker has landed quite literally, server racks and equipment that make up the Full Tilt Poker servers were flown from Guernsey to the Isle of Man in anticipation of FullTilt’s 6^th November relaunch date.

The server equipment was too large to fit onboard a regular aeroplane, so the new owners PokerStars opted to transport the 30 tons of hardware via a massive privately chartered Hercules Aircraft which touched down safely on Friday.

PokerStars head of corporate communications Eric Hollreiser mentioned in an interview with Isle of Man News – MTTV that all outstanding issues with the DOJ had been resolved and that PokerStars are committed to reopening Full Tilt Poker within the 90 day period ending on 6^th November 2012. The equipment landing plays a significant role in ensuring that Full Tilt Poker opens in time.

Tony G and Phil Hellmuth are set to compete against each other but not on the poker table as you would expect, but rather in their own form of made up triathlon.

The triathlon will be made up of three events including Swimming (50m freestyle and 50 meters backstroke), Basketball (10 3 pointers) and Running 1 mile (difference in time accumulated to be added to looser at that stage).

The event is sponsored by WPT – World Poker Tour in the run up to the Malta leg of the tour.

The bets will be finalized with more information to be released nearer the time of the event.
