pokerstars buys full tilt pokerBreaking News – Pokerstars Buys Full Tilt Poker, yes it’s finally official. PokerStars have acquired FullTiltPoker assets after reaching a deal with the Department of Justice which includes reimbursing players outside of the USA.

USA players funds will be handled and processed by the U.S. government, players from the rest of the world will have their funds available for withdrawal within 90 days.

PokerStars plan to relaunch the former number 2 poker site as a separate company and maintain segregated accounts ensuring players funds are available for withdrawal at all times.

Until now no official statement was released regarding the Pokerstars Rumor Full Tilt Poker Deal, a detailed PokerStars statement now features on the Full Tilt Poker homepage confirming all the rumors that Pokerstars Buys Full Tilt Poker deal is true.

USA Poker Rooms Open to AmericansThese days one feels pity towards American poker players as finding a decent poker room is becoming more and more of a daunting task, long gone are the days when Americans could safely play at PokerStars or FullTilt Poker both of which are now closed to the USA and sadly FullTilt to the world, at least for the time being.

Zynga Poker believe it or not have more play money players online than even Pokerstars according to a new traffic report for play money rooms published by pokerscout, something that PokerStars the #1 online poker room needs to keep an eye on.

Zynga Poker despite being a play money only site have a large loyal fan base and dominate Facebook and Google + with poker apps for iPhones, iPads and Android based phones and tablets.

PokerStars may face some tough competition from Zynga Poker in years to come should Zynga opt to monetize their poker rooms and offer real money games.

2012 wsop main event final tableThe 2012 WSOP Main Event final table has been determined when play continued until just 9 players remain in the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event. The final table will continue from 28th – 30th October, 2012 with nine players after the $8,527,982 first place place and a WSOP bracelet.

Due to the US elections the WSOP Main Event final table has been rescheduled to an earlier date, changing regular November Nine format. The final table players have been labelled the October Nine.

As strategic as this rumor sounds, Pokerstars Head of Corporate Communications Eric Hollreiser retweeted, ESPN Andrew Feldman tweet which stated that ‘Twitter rumors of PS folding on the FTP deal is false’.

While no actual statement has been made as to how and when the supposed the Full Tilt Poker deal is to take place, negotiations and settlement discussions are an ongoing process.
