European Poker Tour – Season Five

The best European Poker Tour is ready for Season 5, with the next stop being London, taking place 1st – 6th October 2008, and then moving on to Budapest, Warsaw, Prague, Deauville, Copenhagen, Dortmund and San Remo. With the Grand Final in Monte Carlo, between April 28 – May 3 2009.

This is the tour that creates instant millionaires as it travels on its path to to the Grand Final. The world’s best poker players will take their seats to compete for massive prize pools at the best locations in Europe. But the Grand Final in Monte Carlo boosts the largest prize pools of the tour.

PokerStars player Sebastian Ruthenberg won the first event in Season 5 which took place in Barcelona and Sebastian received €1,360,100 ($1,941,401) after knocking out 619 players. His stack was five times more that runner-up Fintan Gavin, who was taken down in minutes after Sebastian’s K-9 granted him the win in final hand. Also at final table was Season 4 EPT San Remo winner Jason Mercier – who almost won two EPT titles.
