Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke leave UB Poker
Both pros have stood by UB Poker through some tough times over the last decade including the UltimateBet cheating scandal. Phil Hellmuth has always supported the brand and helped increase the popularity of the online poker room by making dramatic entrances every year at the WSOP.
Phil Hellmuth, is one of the most recognized poker players in history, with a record of winning 11 World Series of Poker bracelets, and 68 WSOP cashes plus 41 final tables. Annie Duke is one of the best female poker players who has helped the poker industry grow and represented the poker players alliance in court to regulate and legalize online poker in the US.
Phil Hellmuth’s Archenemy Tony G predicted Hellmuth departure last November when he noticed Phil was no longer wearing his UB patch at the tables and said the following harsh statements on the Party Poker blog.

UBOC 6 – Ultimate Bet Online Championship
The UB Poker online series takes place this January with 29 events and a total of $5 Million in guaranteed tournaments. The main event will feature a millino dollar guaranteed prize pool, there will also be several bounty tournaments where players can win the bounty reward for knocking out any of the hosts, centerfold models and rock stars in these events, players can also win a UBOC t-shirt for knocking out a Team UB pro. The winners of every event will win a UBOC championship watch as a trophy in addition to their prize money.
Players can buy-in directly to each event or qualify their seat in the satellite tournaments which are running daily.
