LockPoker have officially left the merge gaming network today, and taken over the Cake Poker Network re-branding it to the Revolution Gaming Network.
Lock Poker is one of the most popular USA poker sites since Black Friday and claim to have 40% of merge gaming network’s traffic. With their departure from the merge network, it will be interesting to see how the traffic is affected over the next few weeks.
Revolution Gaming was formed by essentially splitting the biggest us poker network into two different networks, offering players faster cash outs and services. In retaliation merge network have reinstated rakeback offering players up to 35% on poker sites Carbon Poker and Aced.
Lock Poker will be leaving the Merge Gaming Network at the end of May to start their own new poker network called Revolution Gaming. Lock Poker was one of the larger poker sites on Merge Gaming Network, which is also home to Carbon Poker and AcedPoker.
The USA poker site, Lock Poker decided to take action when Merge Gaming canceled their LockOps tournament series in April.
Lock Poker will be acquiring assets from the Cake Poker Network, to start out their new Revolution Gaming Network, which may turn out to be the best online poker site for US players. Even when Lock Poker were on Merge Gaming Network they ran their own independent cashier which offered players faster cashouts than most USA poker rooms including Merge Gaming sites.
The WSOP final table will be broadcast live (15 minute delay) on ESPN, so far more than 36 hours of Main Event footage has been shown leading up to the Final Table which will feature the 2011 WSOP November Nine, the top 9 players who return to play the final table on 6th – 8th November and determine who the 2011 World Series of Poker Champion.
