phil hellmuth wsopPhil Hellmuth has another 2nd place finish in the 2011 WSOP, this time it’s not John Juanda preventing Hellmuth from winning his 12th WSOP bracelet. In Event #33: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship, Hellmuth managed to survive a tough playing field of 168 players and was eventually defeated Heads-up against Eric Rodawig.

Phil Hellmuth misses his 2nd attempt at winning a bracelet at this years World Series of Poker, although we have only reached the half way mark of the 58 events in the series. So far Hellmuth has cashed more than half a million dollars for his two 2nd place finishes, not bad even though he hasn’t won Gold yet.

wsop tournament of championsThe World Series of Poker have decided to continue the WSOP Tournament of Champions event, which is possibly the biggest freeroll tournament ever with a million dollar prize pool. Only 27 players will be invited to play this event, fans can vote for their favorite WSOP bracelet winner to participate in this all stars event.

20 players will be selected from the votes received from fans, 5 players who have won the Tournament of Champions throughout the years and the winners of the WSOP & WSOPE main event for the previous year will also be invited including two wild card players.

The Tournament of Champions will be an entertaining event with top players from the past returning to relive their dream, the tournament will be televised on ESPN on the 3rd August 2010

Isildur1 - Isildur1 was on a winning streak for about a month in November peaking to more than 5 million dollars profit from playing high stakes poker games on Full Tilt Poker against Tom “durrrr” Dwan, Brian Townsend and David Benyamine. Around the 24th November his bankroll was falling into the negative.

He then started to make a recovery until he played Brian Hastings and lost more than four million dollars playing $500/$1,000 Pot Limit Omaha which is the most amount of money ever won playing poker online in one session. This put Isildur1’s bankroll to more than two million dollars in the red till he played Durrrr and Brian Townsend where he recover by winning more than one and a half million dollars against his opponents.

Isildur1’s bankroll then took a huge fall down to $-2,139,064 after playing Brian Townsend and Brian Hastings on Tuesday. Will Isildur1 recover from this huge loss or will he just disappear unnamed without anyone knowing who he is.
