LockPoker have officially left the merge gaming network today, and taken over the Cake Poker Network re-branding it to the Revolution Gaming Network.

Lock Poker is one of the most popular USA poker sites since Black Friday and claim to have 40% of merge gaming network’s traffic. With their departure from the merge network, it will be interesting to see how the traffic is affected over the next few weeks.

Revolution Gaming was formed by essentially splitting the biggest us poker network into two different networks, offering players faster cash outs and services. In retaliation merge network have reinstated rakeback offering players up to 35% on poker sites Carbon Poker and Aced.

Lock Poker will be leaving the Merge Gaming Network at the end of May to start their own new poker network called Revolution Gaming. Lock Poker was one of the larger poker sites on Merge Gaming Network, which is also home to Carbon Poker and AcedPoker.

The USA poker site, Lock Poker decided to take action when Merge Gaming canceled their LockOps tournament series in April.

Lock Poker will be acquiring assets from the Cake Poker Network, to start out their new Revolution Gaming Network, which may turn out to be the best online poker site for US players. Even when Lock Poker were on Merge Gaming Network they ran their own independent cashier which offered players faster cashouts than most USA poker rooms including Merge Gaming sites.

Calvin Ayre founder of the Bodog Brand has been indicted of two charges Conducting an Illegal gambling business and money laundering. The recent development occurred shortly after Bodog.com was seized by the Department of Justice and Homeland Security Investigations.

The company has been accused of processing more than $100 million in sportsbets to US players from 2006 – 2012. The Feds had undercover agents create Bodog accounts, deposit and cashout from Maryland, USA. Tip offs from an employee gave Feds further insight on how the business operated and who the directors of the company were.

Calvin Ayre and three other Canadians were also indicted James Philip, David Ferguson and Derrick Maloney.

Everleaf Gaming Network closed it’s doors to US players last week after receiving threats of legal action from Department of Homeland Security, who have also seized funds from the networks US processor. The Networks regulator, Lottery and Gaming Authority of Malta, suggested that Everleaf Gaming stop offering its services to the US market.

The network which operates more than 100 poker skins had approximately 20% of it’s traffic based in the US, PokerScout reported that the network has suffered a 12% decline in traffic since stopping it’s operations in the US on 10th February 2012.

In a recent statement Everleaf Gaming says it’s business as usual, as it continues to offer it’s services worldwide, excluding the United States and France.
