Everleaf Gaming Network closed it’s doors to US players last week after receiving threats of legal action from Department of Homeland Security, who have also seized funds from the networks US processor. The Networks regulator, Lottery and Gaming Authority of Malta, suggested that Everleaf Gaming stop offering its services to the US market.

The network which operates more than 100 poker skins had approximately 20% of it’s traffic based in the US, PokerScout reported that the network has suffered a 12% decline in traffic since stopping it’s operations in the US on 10th February 2012.

In a recent statement Everleaf Gaming says it’s business as usual, as it continues to offer it’s services worldwide, excluding the United States and France.

It’s been a strange year for poker especially online poker with the industry turned upside down on Black Friday. Online poker traffic has decrease by 31% as a result of an unstable US market.

Not all online poker rooms suffered a loss in traffic, CarbonPoker and Merge Gaming Network experienced an increase of traffic up to 76%.

Bodog Poker US players have been transfered over to the new Bovada brand which still offers players Sports, Casino, Poker and Horses. The change over will only affect USA poker players, the rest of the world can continue playing on the Bodog brand.

The new name Bovada is a combination of the words Bodog with Nevada, other changes include anonymous poker tables to prevent the sharks from abusing the recreational poker players. Poker tracking software and data-mining websites have also been blocked.
