There were many new records and achievements like the youngest player to win the World Series of Poker, the largest online poker pot and tournament. Phil Ivey makes it to the November Nine after winning his 7th WSOP bracelet.

WSOP 2009 updatesThe WSOP 2009 final table was full of action this year and the main event winner Joseph Cada has now claim the 2009 main event bracelet when he defeated Darvin Moon in the heads-up stage of the 40th anniversary WSOP event.

Twenty-one year old Joe Cada has won the WSOP main event, although Cada has already cashed eleven times in WSOP events. Joseph Cada was the short stack going it to heads-up with Darvin Moon having almost a double stack lead.

The WSOP 2009 had a direct buyin 0f $10,000 with 6,494 players participating in this years main event which has a first place prize of  $8,546,435.

November Nine WSOPNovember Nine WSOP 2009 Updates – Only 27 players remain after day 7 after surviving a field of 6,494 players, they will all battle it out for the final table which only sees the Top 9 (November Nine) competing for the WSOP 2009 main event bracelet and title.

Phil Ivey is sitting in fifth place and still in the running for his 3rd bracelet this year, although chip leader Darvin Moon seems untouchable at this point sitting with more than 20 million chips going in to Day 8 of the World Series of Poker 2009.
