In what seems to be a silly joke and somewhat of a rumor, PokerStars have bought FullTilt Poker after reaching an agreement with the DOJ following Laurent Tapie’s failed bid at taking over FullTilt Poker.

While it certainly seems that PokerStars have bought Full Tilt Poker it is not yet 100% confirmed as of writing, in the alleged legal agreement reached between PokerStars and the purchase of Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars have agreed to a $750M fee which includes the settlement with the DOJ and player balances worldwide.

The GBT deal is very definitely a no go as can be seen on iGamingFrance and EGR where they have confirmed that without a doubt the FullTilt buyout deal is off.
PokerStars may have just done the right thing by buying FullTilt Poker if indeed the news turns out to be true which I’m guessing it is. It is also being reported that PokerStars will continue to run Full Tilt Poker as a stand-alone brand.

The Pokerstars SCOOP 2012 finalized schedule has been released the updated and amended schedule consists of 40 events for a total of 120 Tournaments and will be held starting Sunday 6th May 2012 and will conclude on Sunday 20th May 2012.

The SCOOP 2012 (Spring Championship of Online Poker) is a yearly event held by Pokerstars that attracts players from varying bankroll limits as they run each event in Low, Medium and High buy-ins.

For example Event #38 is the main event for the Pokerstars SCOOP 2012 it starts at 14:30 ET on Sunday, May 20^th 2012 and players can buy-in for Low $82, Medium $700 or High $7500 versions of the tournament, the same is true for all the events in that the same event number starts at the same time and only the buy-in amount varies meaning each event will have three final winners based on buy in amount.

The SCOOP is one of the major events held throughout the tear at PokerStars and always attracts large player fields, last year’s SCOOP awarded $43,165,800 in prize money with the 2011 SCOOP Main Event (High) winner ‘Lrslzk’ Sami Kelopuro getting paid $505,000 for his efforts after a five way deal was reached at the final table.

PokerStars have made several changes to their preliminary schedule for the SCOOP with 6 more events being added as well as several date changes to the finalized version.
