The first starting day featured less players registering than last years event which had 771 players taking to the felt.
Chipleader of Day 1A is William Kakon plus a few notable players surviving the first day include: Jorryt van Hoof, Mike Matusow, Jonathan Duhamel, Abe Mosseri, Andy Black and Max Pescator.
The Main Event has three starting flights and there are still two more starting days before registration ends and the fields combine for Day 2.
The top ten nominees from the online voting process will be given to the Governing Council for reviewing, the council will select one or two nominees to be inducted into the WSOP Poker Hall of Fame.
The chosen player/s will be inducted at a ceremony just before the 2015 WSOP Main Event final table starts in November.

His 14th WSOP bracelet will be dedicated to Dave Goldberg a friend who passed away last month, the bracelet will be given to his wife and children.

The popular final table events will be played out on the ESPN stage with six camera angles and the use of RFID technology to scan the players hole cards for poker hand analysis. There is a 30 minute delay of the live stream to prevent any form of cheating.
WSOP Live Stream events will begin as the final table is reached of each event, estimated times between 1:30 – 4:30 PM (PT) or 10PM – 1AM (CET).
