High Stakes Poker Season 6

Fans of GSN’s popular high stakes poker show will be pleased to hear that plans are underway to begin the recording of a new season of the series, with new episodes of High Stakes Poker season 6 being taped from the beginning of October through to November in Las Vegas once key players return from WSOPE and EPT scheduled events. Season 6 of High Stakes Poker will be broadcast in February 2010 it will be produced by Poker PROductions producers of “Poker After Dark”.

High Stakes Poker’s as a series fate, looked somewhat bleak last year when there was a long hold-up by GSN in confirming the making of season 5 from the previous season 4’s recording coupled with the cancelation by GSN of World Poker Tour broadcasts, the future of the High-Stakes-Poker looked to end, this time around the new series was quickly agreed on by GSN perhaps due to season 5’s epic action brought on by Tom Dwan’s aggressive play making for entertaining television.

As always you can expect a formidable line up of well known poker pros similar to last year’s line up which included the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Patrik Antonius, Doyle Brunson, Peter Eastgate – 2008 WSOP Champion, Barry Greenstein and Tom “durrrr” Dwan.

The format of High Stakes Poker provides viewers a chance to catch a glimpse of what it may be like playing a cash game in the infamous “Bobby’s Room” at the Bellagio where stakes are high and action is fierce, it also promises to be entertaining and aggressive should the producers manage to secure Tom Dwan’s position on the table.
