bodog poker usaBodog Poker will stop accepting US players in 2012, the latest news is that BodogPoker plan to leave the US market when their gaming license expires at the end of the year. Bodog is a UK based company who have recently been approved for a UK gambling license.

While Full Tilt Poker servers still remains closed to the entire World, the hearing to re-instate their gaming license has been further delayed until September 2011.

Carbon Poker has blocked sign-ups from new US Players, but will allow new sign-ups soon.

The comedy poker show features the characters on their quest from micro stakes poker to the big time with a series of web episodes, specials, minivids and music videos on YouTube.

The show was originally presented by Full Tilt Poker prior to Black Friday, it’s just a question of time before another network steps in to sponsor the show.

The writers of the show Jay Rosenkrantz & John Wray plan to release the series in HD DVD version.

Phil Ivey dismisses lawsuit vs Full Tilt in Ivey vs. Full Tilt Poker lawsuitA bit of good news for Full Tilt Poker fans, if there are any left, the Ivey vs. Tiltware lawsuit was dismissed on 30 June 2011; the case was voluntarily dismissed without prejudice by Phil Ivey.  It is rumored that a group of European investors are interested in purchasing a majority stake in Full Tilt Poker which would be one step closer to seeing all USA FullTilt poker accounts paid out.

PokerStars have benefited the most from Full Tilt Poker’s closure, they have seen a surge in their player numbers since Full Tilt Poker closed; they have reportedly claimed 66% of FullTiltPoker’s players.

The big question everyone is now asking is: When will Full Tilt Poker open again?

wsop live streamPokerStars Pro Jason Mercier wins a WSOP Bracelet in Event #35 Pot-Limit Omaha (Six Handed) $5,000 buy-in event. Runner up was Hans Winzeler who put up a tough fight playing Heads-up against Mercier. This is the 2nd WSOP bracelet for Jason Mercier who won an Omaha Event in 2009.

Jason Mercier also won an European Poker Tour title in 2008 where he made two final tables in the same year, Mercier’s total tournament career earnings are now more than $6 million dollars.

elky wins wsop braceletPokerStars Bertrand Grospellier ElkY has won his first WSOP bracelet in event #21 Seven-Card Stud World Championship, this was the first time Elky had ever played in a 7 Card Stud tournament. The PokerStars French Pro has already won an EPT and WPT title and more than $7 million in tournament earnings in his career but the WSOP bracelet is one of the biggest accomplishments in poker.

Elky was also a pro gamer on the StarCraft Team who then focused his attention to online poker and then live poker and become a member of Team PokerStars Pros.

The first place prize was $331,639 although winning a WSOP bracelet is worth far more to ElkY than the prize money.
