After thoroughly testing out the 888 Poker App over a period of two weeks, I can say that overall I am highly impressed by the features the app offers which include the ability to play cash games and tournaments right from your mobile phone or tablet.

I highly recommend the 888 Poker App as it is among the top options for playing poker from your phone or mobile device, both real money and play money games can be used once you have created an account.

The 888 Poker App supports Android and iOS meaning that most new Samsung phones as well as iPhones and iPads are supported the only downside is that there is no 888 Poker Windows App so many Nokia and Microsoft phones are left in the dark for the time being.

The menu is simplistic and you can toggle between Standard Tournaments and Snap Poker via a tiny tab on the side of the screen.

The 888 Casino and Bet on Sports features can be accessed at the bottom of the page.

The Cashier, account details and App settings can be changed from the menus at the top of the page.

We have previously reviewed the 888 Poker App, so if you would like to know more about the app’s features please read that post.

I would like to move onto what can be improved in the 888 App.

888 Poker App Improvements

Instant Play Poker provides users with an alternate version of the poker room client that requires no download and permits them to play directly from a browser.

The main advantage of poker instant play software is that it supports far more operating systems than the standard poker client usually allows. Instant Play poker is playable from Mac’s, Linux and all versions of Windows OS directly from the player’s favorite browser.

There are some disadvantages of playing instant play poker in that usually the game lacks certain features found in the full downloadable client versions of the software.

Due to the recent surge in popularity of poker mobile apps, we have included mobile poker apps to the list too, we believe in time the mobile poker app market will become a major player in the poker industry especially seeing that latest smart phones with Android OS / IPhone OS can run flash based poker games.

Several poker rooms like Full Tilt Poker have already identified this ever increasing mobile poker trend and are getting in early on the poker mobile action with the launch of their Rush Full Tilt Poker mobile app, but others like PokerStars are sadly left behind. Come on PokerStars get your act together, where is your PokerStars Mobile game or even a PokerStars instant play version?

Portability and accessibility are the major driving forces behind the demand but on the other hand playability seems somewhat dampered at this early stage.
