Phil Ivey denied 9th WSOP Bracelet in the 2012 WSOP Event 24 Omaha Hi-Low Split-8 or Better at the 43rd World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Final Table players included some of top players in the game: Mike Matusow, Scotty Nguyen, Joe Cassidy and Bart Hanson.

Phil Ivey was eliminated in 3rd place leaving Joe Cassidy vs Scotty Nguyen heads-up at the end of Day 3.

Ivey missed his 9th bracelet again after being denied victory earlier this week when he was heads-up with Andy Frankenberger in Event 17: Pot-Limit Hold’em. Phil Ivey is on fire at the 2012 World Series of Poker after boycotting the series in 2011 after Black Friday/Full Tilt Poker where players funds were seized.

The Tiger Woods of Poker misses another opportunity to add a non-holdem bracelet to his collection, but he currently leads the 2012 WSOP player of the year leaderboard in points.

Phil Ivey would have increased his WSOP bracelet earnings lead to 4th place sharing the position with Johnny Moss.

Phil Hellmuth wins 12th WSOP Bracelet in Event #18: Seven Card Razz, of the 43rd World Series of Poker. Hellmuth proves he’s got what it takes to be a champion by extending his bracelet lead on Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan who both have earned 10 WSOP bracelets.

This is Phil Hellmuth first non-holdem bracelet to add to his collection, last year Hellmuth was unsuccessful at capturing gold and finished runner up in three 2011 WSOP events. Hellmuth hasn’t won a World Series of Poker tournaments since 2007.

Hellmuth’s 12th WSOP bracelet for first place finish in the event #18 is worth more than his $182,793 winnings for the event.

Phil Ivey almost won his 9th WSOP bracelet but was instead beaten by Andy Frankenberger heads-up in WSOP Event #17: Pot-Limit Hold’em.

The Micros is a popular animated comedy series based on online poker, the plot is based on three main characters Chase, Rose and Tommy. The comedy poker show features the characters on their quest from micro stakes poker to the big time with a series of web episodes, specials, minivids and music videos on YouTube.

A bit of good news for Full Tilt Poker fans, if there are any left, the Ivey vs. Tiltware lawsuit was dismissed on 30 June 2011; the case was voluntarily dismissed without prejudice by Phil Ivey.  It is rumored that a group of European investors are interested in purchasing a majority stake in Full Tilt Poker which would be one step closer to seeing all USA FullTilt poker accounts paid out.

PokerStars have benefited the most from Full Tilt Poker’s closure, they have seen a surge in their player numbers since Full Tilt Poker closed; they have reportedly claimed 66% of FullTiltPoker’s players.

The big question everyone is now asking is: When will Full Tilt Poker open again?
