2014 wsop big one for one drop23 players have confirmed their seats for the million dollar buy-in 2014 WSOP Big One for One Drop tournament.

Amongst the registered players there are twelve poker pros which includes: Antonio Esfandiari, Sam Trickett, Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Phil Galfond, Jason Mercier, Brian Rast, Noah Schwartz, Bobby Baldwin and Andrew Robl.

Half of the seats are already confirmed as the event is limited to the first 56 players cap limit. This will be the second time the event has featured on the World Series of Poker schedule with the first taking place in 2012.

Antonio Esfandiari won the 2012 WSOP Big One for One Drop winning more than $18 million which instantly positioned him in first place on the Poker All Time Money List.

The 2014 WSOP Main Event features $10 Million for first place prize adding great value to the most popular live poker tournament in history.

High Stakes Poker season 7High Stakes Poker Season 7 returns to GSN on Saturday 26th February 2011 with a whole lot of changes to the popular poker TV show. We say goodbye to Gabe Kaplan the host of the previous shows who will now be replaced by Norm MacDonald.

Season 7 will also be available in a 3D Poker TV format for viewers who have 3D Tv’s, there will also be no Full Tilt Poker pros featured in the latest High Stakes Poker episodes.

World Series of Poker 2009The 40th Anniversary of the World Series of poker is well underway with the first event being the Casino Employees tournament which started on Wednesday but the real news is the $40,000 Event #2 of the WSOP 2009.

The $40,000 No Limit Hold’em special tournament got underway this Thursday with a total of 201 entrants the $40,000 buy in was designated to highlight the World Series’ 40th year anniversary and has managed to attract a poker star studded tournament, the tournament itself will be conducted over four days with a slow blind structure and deep stacks of 120,000 for starters event, slowed down the structure and gave players plenty of chips to play with. The $40k NLHE will be one of only four WSOP events aimed for broadcast on television by ESPN next summer.

Durrrr Challenge slows downThe Durrrr Challenge seems to have faded with Durrrr currently ahead of Patrik Antonius by $140,380.00 having played 4,178 hands of the 50 000 scheduled for the event consisting of 6 total sessions taking 13 hours 12 minutes to date.

The slow down comes as a result of Durrrr taking a beating in 2009, he is currently losing approximately 4 million dollars this year at Full Tilt Poker with a recent losses over last weekend against Phil Ivey who got the better of  “Durrrr” while playing two tables at FullTilt Poker’s $500/$1000 Pot Limit Omaha plus an additional 2 tables of $500/$1000 H.A (Hold’em, Omaha High), Phil Ivey managed to build chip stacks of $2 million dollars over the four deep stacked tables with Durrrr holding $1 million.
