phil hellmuth wsop braceletPhil Hellmuth wins 12th WSOP Bracelet in Event #18: Seven Card Razz, of the 43rd World Series of Poker. Hellmuth proves he’s got what it takes to be a champion by extending his bracelet lead on Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan who both have earned 10 WSOP bracelets.

This is Phil Hellmuth first non-holdem bracelet to add to his collection, last year Hellmuth was unsuccessful at capturing gold and finished runner up in three 2011 WSOP events. Hellmuth hasn’t won a World Series of Poker tournaments since 2007.

Hellmuth’s 12th WSOP bracelet for first place finish in the event #18 is worth more than his $182,793 winnings for the event.

Phil Ivey almost won his 9th WSOP bracelet but was instead beaten by Andy Frankenberger heads-up in WSOP Event #17: Pot-Limit Hold’em.

2012 wsop liveThe 2012 World Series of Poker final tables will all be streamed live on the Internet, with a five minute delay. This is great for poker, because all 60 WSOP bracelet events, final table players and bracelet winners will get the exposure they deserve.

Poker fans can watch the 2012 WSOP live, footage will be available when the tournament reaches the final table.

Other changes to the 2012 WSOP include a more relaxed rule on table chatter and player celebration. Players are now allowed to speak freely or celebrate when winning a hand, within reason, as long as it doesn’t disrupt the tournament or reveal important information to players still involved in a hand.

world series of poker 2011 wsopThe WSOP final table will be broadcast live (15 minute delay) on ESPN, so far more than 36 hours of Main Event footage has been shown leading up to the Final Table which will feature the 2011 WSOP November Nine, the top 9 players who return to play the final table on 6th – 8th November and determine who the 2011 World Series of Poker Champion.

The WSOP final table features commentary by Lon McEachern, David Tuchman, Norman Chad and Antonio Esfandiari who will discuss the plays virtually live, with hole cards revealed of players who are involved in the hand after the flop, no pre-flop folded hands will be shown.

Poker fans will see the WSOP televised in a new exciting format, with coverage also available streaming online, smartphone applications and on Xbox live.

wsop live streamPokerStars Pro Jason Mercier wins a WSOP Bracelet in Event #35 Pot-Limit Omaha (Six Handed) $5,000 buy-in event. Runner up was Hans Winzeler who put up a tough fight playing Heads-up against Mercier. This is the 2nd WSOP bracelet for Jason Mercier who won an Omaha Event in 2009.

Jason Mercier also won an European Poker Tour title in 2008 where he made two final tables in the same year, Mercier’s total tournament career earnings are now more than $6 million dollars.

phil hellmuth wsopPhil Hellmuth has another 2nd place finish in the 2011 WSOP, this time it’s not John Juanda preventing Hellmuth from winning his 12th WSOP bracelet. In Event #33: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Split-8 or Better Championship, Hellmuth managed to survive a tough playing field of 168 players and was eventually defeated Heads-up against Eric Rodawig.

Phil Hellmuth misses his 2nd attempt at winning a bracelet at this years World Series of Poker, although we have only reached the half way mark of the 58 events in the series. So far Hellmuth has cashed more than half a million dollars for his two 2nd place finishes, not bad even though he hasn’t won Gold yet.
